Today I am so excited to share with you this card that I made using some "New Products" from the StampinUp! 2018/2019 Annual Catalog. Starting June 1st anyone will be able to get there hands on these Gorgeous Thinlits dies. Springtime Impression's they are called and I am in love with them.
I'm also in love the Specialty Designer Series Paper that comes with the Share What You Love Suite. This suite is available now for everyone in a early Release that StampinUp offered this month. I used the Love What You Do stamp set from the suite, for the watercolor look in the top left corner. The leaves and the Sentiments are also from this stamp set. This card has a really cool feature to it when you keep scrolling down you will see in the pictures that the Butterfly becomes the pop up for the inside of the card also!

The butterfly wings close together, in order to open the card as shown below.
First tip for this card is the Die cut flowery image on the front is trimmed on the lower left corner just a bit so it fits within the white of the card. This is adhered to your base first before anything else is done.
Below you see how the butterfly becomes the popup on the inside of the card after being opened. I got this idea from Rachel Tessman, whom in turn was taught at a local Event that StampinUp offers for Demonstrators.
The Rich Razzleberry butterfly is so angelic on the Designer Series Paper and the Black of course is very striking against all the blues and greens below. Just some added Pearls and Rhinestones is all they needed to be the center of attention on these cards!
This image bellow shows the punch I used to enable the butterfly to come out from the front. The Classic Label Punch, this was in the last Annual Catalog and is carrying over to the next.
After adhering the die cut on the front, put your cardstock in the punch all the way on the right side, center and punch. Adhere the 4 3/4" x 4" piece of designer series paper on the inside of the card. Use some strong adhesive on just the body of the butterfly to adhere to card. This is done by closing the card and placing the butterfly towards the bottom of the punched area.
Second Tip: The bottom of the wings need to be lined up with the top of the Triangle shape bottom area, of the window. Then press down so the butterfly is being adhered to the DSP thru the slot.

This card base is actually cut a 1/2" smaller than most bases instead of cutting your 8 1/2" x 11" sheet at 5 1/2" these were cut at 5". This way the butterfly wing sort of hangs off the one side of the card and still fits in the envelope.
I hope you enjoyed my creation and you are inspired to make one of your own!
Happy Stampin!
