What a beautiful friendship we've grown, is just one of the beautiful sentiment's that comes in the stamp set of this month's Paper Pumpkin kit. Amazing I cannot believe how much this company StampinUp! has improved these kits. I have loved every kit for a long time now. StampinUp! is so smart they have been watching trends and they send a lot extra stuff now with every kit. This tells me they are calling out for people to make alternative's to the kit that they have designed. This month just happened to be Birthday month for 5 years of Paper Pumpkin so we all got an extra special free gift in our kits. They sent two sheets of beautiful wood embellishments, and they were not even apart of the design of the cards in the kit. Seriously... just screaming to come up with something different! π
Well I used some of the wood embellishments on this card, not much compared to how much you get.
Noticing in this picture that the card is almost only one piece, the front of this card is pretty much cut in half. The flowers overlap the edge of the top of the sliced front and gives the dimension to the front of this card.
The next four images shows how I cut the base of this card. You start with and 8 1/2"x 11" Piece of Cardstock cut in half at 4 1/4" and then scored at 5 1/2". I used Whisper White in the images below, but the card made above the base is in Powder Pink.
After scored at 5 1/2" turn piece vertically in paper cutter at the 2 1/2" mark. Place scoring blade at 5 1/2" and cut in an upwards motion.
Then turn sheet horizontally at the 5 1/2" mark. Place scoring blade at the 2 1/2" and cut in an upwards motion again.
This will be your base for the card.
I hope you enjoyed this Card, I really enjoyed making it for you!
Happy Stamping
